Blaze Street Music presents - Music of A Lifetime - Ep.3- 'TOTO IV' & the music of Toto

from Blaze Street Music Presents 'Music of a Lifetime' · host Various Artists

ALOHA! PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT WHAT I'M DOING 👍🏾 I APPRECIATE YOU! Can you just imagine? It's 1982. The world of American music is in the beginning phases of an incredible level of creativity, popularity and access. And the year itself would go down in history as one of the greatest towards making the 80's probably the greatest decade of music in our history. It was in 1982 when Toto released their fourth album, simply titled 'Toto IV.' And what an amazing release it was. The superstar group known as Toto was formed in 1977 and by the time 1982 came around, they'd not only cemented themselves as one of rock's great bands, but their legacy as session musicians around the industry had reached a level unheralded by other bands. David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Steve Lukather & Jeff Porcaro would become incredible amazing session musicians for such greats acts as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Michael Jackson. I've been listening to Toto since their first release called 'Toto" back in 1978 when they had a song called "Georgie Porgie", a slick, groovy mix of rock, R&B, and jazz, that featured a then unknown background vocalist named Cheryl Lynn. And since then I've followed their career. In celebrating my 50 greatest Albums & records of my lifetime, I want to share with you the music of one of the greatest bands in American music history as I share with you my favorite songs from the legendary Toto. Toto IV is #31 on my list of 50! Blaze Street Music and djceejaay - presents the music of Toto. THANKS FOR LISTENING! I APPRECIATE YOU ALL! Call my studio hotline: 808-391-5394, leave me a message!
