Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy” is a clear picture of the kingdom citizen whose life has been transformed by Jesus Christ. Still, demonstrating mercy is a challenge; it is only borne out of one who understands the mercy shown by God and desires to treat fellow human beings in this godly manner. This sermon will look at mercy as revealed in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.
