As we look at Matthew 5:9 in the Beatitudes found in The Sermon on the Mount, we see that Jesus promised, "blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God." There is much chaos and turmoil in the world today. True peace and justice are non-existent because this world has been marred by sin. The good news is Jesus is the Prince of Peace! He calls His disciples to be peace makers, bringing true shalom into our realm of influence. Peace comes from God, is given by God, but is manifest through our lives.
