Blewett Opting Out of Cardinals Deal | St. Louis Cardinals News

Scott Blewett, a 30-year-old pitcher with four MLB seasons under his belt, is opting out of his minor league deal with the Cardinals after a disappointing stint in Triple-A. After bouncing between three teams last year and posting a brutal 5.89 ERA, Blewett’s future looked bleak, and his decision to walk away now makes sense as he seeks a fresh start elsewhere.
