Blind Passion and a SIM Card: The Fatal Unraveling of a Sa'idi Man's Honor and the Maryutiya Canal Murder
from Crime Night · host Crime Night
Munir was a married construction worker whose life took a dark turn after meeting Rehab in a questionable apartment. Despite her troubled past and refusal to leave it behind, he became infatuated and eventually married her in secret, tearing apart his first family and draining his finances in the process. Their relationship quickly descended into constant conflict. A trip to Sudan only worsened matters, and Rehab began threatening Munir with legal documents he had signed in her favor, giving her leverage over him. The mounting pressure and volatile arguments finally erupted into violence when, in a fit of rage, Munir murdered Rehab. Trying to hide his crime, he went further—dismembering her body and attempting to dispose of the remains. But his plan unraveled when the remains were discovered and investigators uncovered a key piece of evidence directly tying him to the murder. Munir was arrested, tried, and ultimately sentenced to death, his obsessive love ending in betrayal, brutality, and ruin. You can listen and download our episodes for free on more than 10 different platforms:https://linktr.ee/crimenight1Produced by:https://www.podcaistudio.com/
