The deal, designed to strengthen U.S.-Ukraine ties, involves the creation of a fund that will receive 50% of the proceeds from Ukraine’s state-owned mineral resources, including oil and gas. This fund will be used to invest in projects within Ukraine. The agreement, which excludes resources already contributing to Ukraine’s state budget, follows tense negotiations and has secured more favorable terms for Ukraine. President Zelensky is expected to sign the deal in Washington soon.
