It now boasts $45 billion in total assets and saw $5.2 billion in trading volume, the second-highest in its history. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas called the surge a “classic feeding frenzy,” as IBIT continues to dominate institutional Bitcoin exposure.💯On May 22, 2025, Sui’s largest DEX, Cetus Protocol, suffered a $223M oracle manipulation attack. Exploiters deployed spoof tokens to distort price data and drain liquidity pools. Meme tokens like Lofi, Sudeng, and Squirtle crashed up to 97%, and 46 Sui tokens posted double-digit losses. The attacker still holds $164M on Sui and bridged $61.5M USDC to Ethereum.❗Cetus paused contracts, identified and fixed the bug, and proposed an on-chain vote to return frozen assets, without a chain rollback. The incident sparked debate on Sui’s decentralisation and validator coordination. Surprisingly, the SUI token rose 2.2%, trading around $3.53.
