The disbursements will include approximately $9 billion in bitcoin (BTC) and $50.8 million in (BCH), sent to designated exchanges. Mt Gox halted operations in February 2014 after losing 850,000 BTC, but later recovered 202,000 BTC in March 2014. The trustee emphasized that the repayment process would comply with financial regulations and urged creditors to be patient. Following the announcement, bitcoin’s price dropped to a low of $60,580 but has since stabilized just above $61,000. Some transactions were sent to the crypto exchanges Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and Bitstamp 🛑 Tether.io will discontinue support for the EOS and Algorand implementations.
