Bitcoin’s fourth halving reduced miners’ block subsidy rewards, but transaction fees have surged, exceeding subsidy rewards for over 100 blocks. The hype surrounding Runes, a new token standard for Bitcoin, has driven speculative activity and increased competition, resulting in higher transaction fees. Total daily miner revenue has also dropped to approximately $51 million.
