Despite being a campaign issue, President Biden’s administration has not taken a stance. The Federal Reserve is in the initial research stages, with Vice Chairman Michael Bar noting that any progress would need approval from The White House and Congress. Former President Trump vowed to ban CBDC creation, highlighting partisan division.
