The SEC’s insistence on controlling Ethereum undermines its decentralized nature and harms developers, market participants, and the U.S. economy. By redefining legal standards, the SEC aims to claim oversight over Ethereum, threatening technological advancement and stablecoin policies. If successful, this regulatory overreach could devastate the cryptocurrency industry, leading to job losses and economic damage. CZ is not #SAFUChangpeng Zhao, faces up to three years in prison for money laundering violations. Prosecutors seek a harsher sentence than guidelines recommend due to the severity of violations. Binance admitted to evading anti-money laundering rules and agreed to a $4.32 billion penalty. Prosecutors accuse Binance of facilitating transactions with terrorist groups and supporting illegal activities. Despite Zhao’s cooperation and fines, prosecutors emphasize the harm caused. Final sentencing is scheduled to take place on 30th April 📊NFTs minted on the Bitcoin blockchain have dominated, accounting for more than 44% of sales. Statistics from the last 30 days reveal that four of the top five best-selling NFT collections all stem from the Bitcoin blockchain. According to data from CryptoSlam Inc.io, Bitcoin-based NFTs have amassed $3.43 billion in total sales, positioning Bitcoin in fourth place behind Ethereum, Solana, and Ronin.
