Blood Covenant Pt 2 ~ The Parts of a Blood Covenant

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

In the covenant walk, two representatives walked through the “way of the blood” stopping in the center. The walk represented a death to living to your self-interests and starting a new life with your covenant partner. There they pronounced their pledges of loyalty and making promises to each other that never could be broken. This is called the “blessing of the covenant”. The blood covenant includes: 1) A representative of the covenant is chosen 2) There is an exchange of garments: Robes, belts, weapons, names and sons 3) Terms of the covenant are given: Blessings, Promises and Curses 4) There is the cutting of the covenant. It is the covenant sacrifice 5) The covenant walk or the walk of blood is made 6) There is a covenant seal. It usually involved raising your right arm and mixing blood or a scar or symbol. 7) The covenant oath is made. 8) There is a covenant meal. 9) There is a recognized memorial place or sign where the covenant was made. 10) There is a test of faithfulness to the covenant.
