Our blood is our life force and we know that blood tests can give an indication of our health. That is why it is so significant that Jesus died through shedding his blood and not through another means of death. He said in advance, at what is now referred to as The Last Supper, that His blood "seals the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out to forgive the sins of many". (Matthew 26:27-28). It is such a difficult concept that Jesus gave His life for us "unblemished to God" (Hebrews 9:14), that He "purifies us from all sin" (1 John 1:7) so that now with God we have "peace through his blood, shed on the cross" (Colossians 1:20). We totally need the Holy Spirit of God to clarify the Truth of what Jesus has done for us. Otherwise it remains a mystery and we don't know how to have Jesus's shed blood impacting our lives. Ask God.
