Blue Is the Warmest Colour

Nat and Alli talk 2013 festival darling Blue Is the Warmest Colour, directed by Abdellatif Kechiche and starring Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux as lovers Adèle and Emma. The film was controversial on release for its explicit sex scenes, both due to the usual moral panic and because many Queer viewers found the film's portrayal of Lesbian sex absolutely ridiculous. The controversy was compounded by Exarchopoulos and Seydoux's accounts of Kechiche's abusive behavior on set. Is it possible to view such a talked-about movie in isolation?
