Blue Jays Shuffle Lineup, Make Roster Moves | Cleveland Guardians News

The Blue Jays are making bold moves after a brutal loss to the Guardians, flipping George Springer and Alejandro Kirk in the lineup to spark more offense — with Kirk now batting cleanup behind Vlad. The move comes after Gavin Williams crushed them with 13 strikeouts and just three hits, pushing Toronto further back in the wild card race. Manager John Schneider’s strategy? Get guys on base and exploit Kirk’s hot streak since the All-Star break. Beyond the lineup shuffle, the team is also activating Joe Mantiply, calling up Ricky Tiedemann and Sean Keys, and trading for Jose Rodriguez from LA. Plus, Jameson Taillon and Trey Yesavage are inching closer to returning — all part of a push to turn things around as the season winds down.
