Blue Jays Surge with Power & Injury Hope | Toronto Blue Jays News

The Blue Jays are heating up in the AL Wild Card race, now just half a game behind the Guardians after a historic three-home-run blast by Springer, Vladdy, and rookie Okamoto — the first time this has happened for the team in 14 years. Okamoto also shattered the rookie RBI record with 85, passing Eric Hinske. Meanwhile, injured pitcher Trey Yesavage is making strong progress post-surgery, throwing bullpen sessions and fielding drills, and could return as early as next week to pitch 3-4 innings in an upcoming series. With every win critical and key players on the verge of returning, the Jays are poised to lock down their playoff spot.
