Blues Hub Postgame- Blues win 3-2 in Shootout vs Kings

Here's a recap of the St. Louis Blues Hub Postgame Show hosted by Jacob Stanoch and Thomas Welch: The Blues secured a thrilling 3-2 shootout win over the Kings, earning two crucial points and moving three points behind Calgary in the playoff race. Jacob Stanoch and Thomas Welch broke down the highs and lows of a nail-biting game, highlighting Jordan Binnington's clutch performance, Robert Thomas extending his point streak, and the Blues' relentless physical play that proved key to victory. Key Takeaways: Binnington was outstanding, saving 14 of 16 shootout attempts this season and standing on his head in OT. Robert Thomas led the charge, scoring in regulation and the shootout. Jake Neighbours continues his hot streak, netting a highlight-reel goal. Blues dominated in giveaways (forcing 25), blocked shots, and forechecking. Tough second period, but resilience in the third pushed them to OT. Looking ahead, the Blues' trade deadline strategy remains uncertain, with speculation about potential moves but a strong argument for standing pat and trusting the team’s playoff push. With 13 of their final 19 games against non-playoff teams, their path to the postseason is within reach. Next up: A showdown with Anaheim, where the Blues look to carry momentum forward.
