Blues is the Truth 523 Ealing Blues Festival 2020 Special

from Blues is the Truth · host Ian McHugh

This weekend would have seen the Ealing Blues Festival take place in Walpole Park, but with global pandemics and lockdowns, this year the festival won't be taking place... Worry not, because This week's Blues is the Truth offers a taste of what we would have enjoyed along with an interview with the man who started it all over 30 years ago and is still the artistic director of the event, Robert Salmons. The show features acts from Robert's musical history including The Shadows, Alexis Korner, Northsyde and Earl Thomas along with some of the acts that would have graced the three stages over the two days including Catfish, Andy Twyman, Robin Bibi, Emma Wilson, Jade Like the Stone, Ed Hopwood, Diana Silvera, The Achievers, The BoonDock Hippy, Jess Hayes, Robbie Reay and more. Join us on the show's facebook page at 3pm (british summer time) on Saturday the 18th July to listen along and chat with fellow listeners.
