Bluewater Stewardship Project

On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan talks with Scott Lerich a District Biologist for the National Wild Turkey Federation about the Bluewater Stewardship Project. First off, Scott explains how this project and most projects get started with a conversation between state and federal agencies who are looking for financial support from conservation agencies like the NWTF.Scott discusses the overall objective and scope of the project as well as the timeframe this project will be completed in. Scott also breaks down not only the environmental impact this project has, but the social and economic impact on the surrounding businesses and communities.Lastly, he walks Dan through why the project was recently put on hold because another "environmental agency" thought a specific species of owl was being threatened.
