As we’ve mentioned, this month we will focus squarely on “Music & Entertainment” in a black man . This season will host artists, producers, and musical minds across the city to come and vent about how they deal with the pros and cons of the industry as a black man 🎶 Today’s guest is Nashville native and underground rapper Waldo Daniels 🎙 A.K.A. “Waldo Shxt” Waldo Daniels was born and raised in Nashville, TN and went to Stratford STEM Magnet High School. After graduating high school, at the age 17, Mr. Daniels furthered his education at a trade school and graduated with a certification for HVAC and Electricity in 2016. Fast forwarding to 2020 , Waldo tells us that a woman who has her own dance classes had listen to one of Waldo’s songs and wanted to make a dance video with her team to it . That is where everything changed for the young rapper. After doing a successful video shoot to Waldo’s song “EAT Remix” and posting it on YouTube , it quickly became the video of the city everyone was talking about and even caught the eyes of Epic Records and United Masters . He later signed independent distribution contracts with both labels. Waldo soon wants to put his city on his back and change peoples lives in the process of being on the rise in the music industry .
