Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We are excited each and every week to bring to you new episodes of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast, the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Amongst many podcast here in Nashville, we stand in the lane of mental health. Aiming to change the narrative behind mental health in black men, one episode at a time. Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥 CALLING ALL TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI, STAFF, AND CURRENT STUDENTS 🐅💙During homecoming last week, we decided to pull a guest from the pool of great legends that have walked TSU’s campus over the years. Today, we present to some and introduce to others, Nashville’s very own DJ “SpiffyBoyDanny” ⭐️ to the podcast! We unpack a lot in today’s episode with Daniel as he talks about his journey through the DJ industry. For high school, he went to Nashville School of the Arts & attended the great Tennessee State University for college. Paying homage to late DJ greats in the city like DJ Malik, & DJ Svnny Dee who were major influences in his success; he comes and vents about his frustrations with the crime and killings in our city. In February of 2021, Daniel lost his best friend to gun violence. A friend that he says “traveled with him everywhere” and always was there to support him. This has been something that we as a community have been loud about for years. Sons, nephews, grandsons are being taken from this earth everyday by senseless shootings.
