BMVT : Venting With Khalil Armstead ✌🏽

from Black Men Vent Too · host Johnathon and Leon Davis, Jr.

Good Morning Nashville ☀️ Super excited to once again bring you guys more content, more episodes, and more venting from various black men near and far. As a mental health based platform, we are eager to reaching out to black men and provide them a safe space to express those things that they internally deal with most. Let’s lock in on today’s episode as we listen to another black man vent today ⭐️ We always say that we will go anywhere in the U.S. to get a black man’s story on our podcast. Today we’ve traveled to Brooklyn, New York virtually to introduce to our audience our good friend and brother, NYC native, Mr. Khalil Armstead ✌🏽 Growing up, he talked about how important family was to him growing up in New York. Specifically, his older brother was a big inspiration to him behind how he protected him during times he got bullied at a young age. After losing his older brother, he vents about early in his life how he grew up seeking that protection, that influence, and just longing for a community to be accepted and validated by external people. Affectionately known as “Army Regime”, he talks about his artistry career, and how being on the Step Team and the famous group “The Temptations” influenced him behind his music and livelihood. “I turned my basement into a prison … the emotional pain I felt, was physical.” 4-5 years, Khalil says he was in deep dark depression. Army vents about the healing journey, and how his path to a fully healed version of himself … saved him. Guys this episode is loaded and filled with passion, major shoutout to our guest . Let’s spill the tea, shall we? Explicit Shut Up I Love It Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it. The key? They LOVE it. From toupees... to B-movies... to aliens, psychedelics, and the occasional surprise character, Sasha and Joe are here to spread love to the world that birthed them (but maybe should’ve used protection). So come and get that love because no one else will give it to you like we do.Also, don’t forget to check out the Patreon Bonus version of the show:https://www.patreon.com/c/ShutUpILoveItP Explicit Kunsten å fortelle historier Kaizr Media Mens jeg skriver dette (begynnelsen av april 2022) driver jeg fremdeles og studerer digital markedsføring.
