BMW schrapt 'Level 3' in topmodel

Na Mercedes schrapt óók BMW zijn zelfrijdende autofunctie. De nieuwe 7-serie, het topmodel van BMW, krijgt géén Personal Pilot L3, meldt het Duitse Automobilwoche. De optie is duur en geeft slechts beperkt mogelijkheid tot autonoom rijden. Met het systeem kan de auto onder specifieke omstandigheden (denk aan een file op de snelweg) tot 60 km/h zelf rijden.
