Unsere Eltern waren als Vertragsarbeiter*innen nach Europa gekommen. Die erste größere Migrationsbewegung aus Vietnam waren aber die sogenannten Boat People - also vor allem Menschen aus Südvietnam, die nach dem Krieg 1975 mit Booten aufs offene Meer geflüchtet sind. Wir lassen in dieser Folge drei Überlebende erzählen: Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Trần Văn Huyền und seine Frau Trần Thị Lệ Hương. Außerdem sprechen wir mit der Cap-Anamur-Mitbegründerin Christel Neudeck und erzählen von unseren Begegnungen mit den Hinterbliebenen des Brandanschlags von 1980, bei dem die ehemaligen Boat People Nguyễn Ngọc Châu und Đỗ Anh Lân starben.
