Bob Iger says MCU has lost focus. Disney will lean Into Sequels & Franchises moving forward.

from The Kristian Harloff Show

Big week of news in the world of Comic Book Movies. King of Disney, Bob Iger admits on a call that Marvel among others have lost the focus of old and that less is more. The company will focus on BIG IP still but will focus on franchises and sequels. He seems to hint at a cutback of the Marvel shows. He has talked about this strategy before but this current conversation seems to take aim at all of the content Marvel and the MCU was doing and refocusing that plan. He also mentioned the movies coming out in the future, Captain America, Deadpool 3, Fantastic Four. There was no mention of Thunderbolts or Blade from Iger. Planned or forgotten or worse? Speaking of Thunderbolts, Florence Pugh gives an update on shooting of the project. Joe Manganiello known for his work in the DC universe was asked if he would appear in Marvel now that Sam Raimi was rumored to direct Secret Wars.
