BODY LANGUAGE: Stir Up One Another

The language of Hebrews 10:24 seems rather negative on the surface. It’s paroxysmos and it means “to incite” or “provoke.” It’s derived from the Greek word for rebellion. This is the language of rebels and revolution. It’s the language of insurrection and uprising. We are instructed to consider how to start a riot! Not a riot that produces violence and hatred and oppression and destruction. The Hebrew writer is saying, “Start a riot of love and good works.”
