Notable storylines include RJ Forrester's (played by Brayan Nicoletti) unappealing attitude, Taylor Hayes' (Rebecca Budig) seemingly evaporating romantic prospects, and other story elements that have left viewers less than satisfied.  The B&B storyline involving Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), and a mysterious letter has been one of the main points of contention. Viewers have criticized the characters' lack of clear communication and the stagnant progression of the plot. The return of Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) has also been met with criticism. Fans are disappointed with the changes to her character and her controlling behavior towards Electra.  Another Bold and Beautiful plot stirring displeasure among viewers is the character of RJ Forrester since his recasting with Brayan Nicoletti. The writers' portrayal of RJ as an unlikable character has left fans asking for a total character rehabilitation. Viewers have also expressed frustration with the lack of follow-up on Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Taylor Hayes' storyline. After their romantic build-up, fans were left wondering what happened to their relationship.  B&B gives the sporadic appearances of Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) that leaves fans feeling neglected.
