Bonnie & Clyde Wannabe's: The Tale of Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate | Ep 1

In the 1950s, in the beautiful state of Nebraska, a tale of terror unfolded. At the center of this macabre narrative were two unlikely figures: Caril Ann Fugate, a young girl just shy of her thirteenth birthday, and Charles Starkweather, a brooding drifter with a penchant for violence. Their tumultuous relationship ignited a spree of murder and mayhem that gripped the nation, as they embarked on a cross-country rampage, leaving a trail of devastation that shook the very foundation of society. But what drove this unlikely pair to commit such heinous acts? Was it a twisted love story gone awry, or were darker forces at play? Stay tuned and buckle up (no seriously if you are driving a car, put your seatbelt on) as I tell you the wild story of the two individuals who tried to be Bonnie and Clyde. They are known to be some of Nebraska’s most notorious mass murderers. For several days, the residents of Lincoln were in a consistent state of panic, hysteria, and despair. They have been compared to the couple, Bonnie and Clyde, who went on an almost two-year crime spree from 1932 to 1934 across southern states. Charles and Caril started their murder spree in late 1958, but quickly ended only after one week of chaos. The quiet streets of Nebraska became a frantic manhunt after these two individuals seemed to murder anyone they came across. This is the chilling saga of Charles and Caril, Bonnie and Clyde 2.0.
