Send us Fan MailSpencer Briggs is a former physical education (PE) teacher with five years of international teaching experience in Sweden and Australia. He completed his Master’s degree at Brock University (Ontario, Canada) in 2022, where his research explored the professional transition from classroom PE teacher to teacher educator through the lenses of teacher identity and self-compassion. Spencer has served as an executive board member on the PHE Canada Research Council for the past two years. He is currently entering the final year of his Ph.D. program. His research interests include Meaningful Physical Education (MPE), with a particular focus on how teachers can support students in transferring their learning and physical activity beyond the PE classroom, as well as promoting well-being for both teachers and students.
