So if you're feeling All Your Feelings in the span of one hour, this episode is for you.  We talk through:  Why we're feeling what we're feeling Why we sometimes don't feel our feelings And what to do in light of all our feelings -- because we can't stay here forever, right? The Change Cycle Shock Denial Frustration + Anger Exploration Acceptance Why we don't feel our feelings We remind ourselves someone has it much worse. We believe our faith is too weak. We think our feelings aren't true. We believe God isn't all that into emotions.  Here's what is true: The pandemic is hard. Just because you feel worried or doubt or discouragement doesn't mean you have weak faith. Feelings aren't always wrong. God is all about emotions. So what do we do with all our emotions?  Give yourself time. Listen to what you're feeling in the presence of Christ. Ask someone to listen to your feelings without judgment. Find a physical way to release your emotions.  Key Quotes You can live in healing, wholeness, and hope.  You can't out-run and out-busy your feelings forever.  Just because your emotions cannot be quantified, measured, verified, or substantiated does not what you feel invalid.    Mentioned in the Podcast The Holderness Family podcast  John Krasinski's Some Good News    Previous Episodes Mentioned Bonus Episode #4: What to tell your kids about COVID-19, how to get your kids to open up, and ways to keep calm Bonus Episode #5: Grace-giving ways to practice self-care during a pandemic in your real, busy, overwhelming life Bonus Episode #7: Practical and grace-filled ways to work from home and homeschool Here's how to connect GraceInRealLifePodcast.com Instagram Facebook group Facebook page
