Bonus episode: AKT
from Out with Suzi Ruffell · host Off The Kerb Productions
Series 2 returns on the 24th August with the brilliant, Alan Carr. But before that I wanted to use this pre-season bonus episode to shine a spotlight on a fantastic charity - akt.org.uk. akt is a voluntary organisation based in England, created in 1989 to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people who are homeless or living in a hostile environment. It started in Greater Manchester in 1989 and opened in London in 1996, and expanded to Newcastle in 2013In this episode I speak to Chief Executive, Tim Sigsworth MBE about the charity and his personal journey. And I also speak to a young LGBTQ community member who has benefited from the help of the charity and now acts as a trustee, Faz Bukhari. I loved hearing their stories and the work the organisation does and hope you do too. Thanks - Suzi. xxPlease subscribe and leave a review. And if you want to get in touch with me on the show, here's how...email: [email protected]: @outwithsuzi A 'Keep It Light Media' ProductionEnquiries: [email protected] Learn more about your ad choices.
