Bonus Episode: God’s Time ≠ Your Planner: Telling Liturgical Time

from All things…Episcopal · host The Diocese of West Missouri & The Diocese of Kansas

In this episode, Fr. Ryan Williams is joined by Mtr. Katherine Mansfield and they talk about how the church tells time, something that is very important in the Episcopal church and several denominations. We unpack:●      Linear time vs. spiral time—yes, we’re getting a little philosophical●      Why Sundays aren’t just Sundays, and what it means to step out of Chronos and into Kairos ●      How vestments, candles, and colors aren’t just aesthetics—they’re time cues●      The full sweep of the liturgical year: from Advent anticipation to Pentecost fire to the long green stretch of Ordinary Time   Plus, we’ll explore how the liturgical calendar isn’t just for worship—it’s a way of life. It reshapes how we pray, how we wait, how we remember, and how we hope.Whether you’re a lifelong Episcopalian or just church-curious, this episode will help you see time differently—sacredly.About the HostsThe Rev.
