I came from the New York City foster care system to being a teenage mom to surviving an 11-year abusive relationship to getting a criminal record and being unable to use my degree to get a corporate job so struggling financially to raise two children with no help from their fathers living on government assistance while having this dream to becoming a business owner a successful one has been far from easy.
