Bonus Episode: The Parent Trap (1998) Movie Review (Podcast Listener Requested By Nicole)

from Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast · host Angela Bowen

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I decided for the last movie review of the Summer that I would cover, the Disney remake, 1998's The Parent Trap, starring Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson. Movie Synopsis: Identical twins Annie and Hallie, separated at birth and each raised by one of their biological parents, later discover each other for the first time at summer camp and make a plan to bring their wayward parents back together. I had so much fun reviewing this movie and hope you enjoy listening to it! The last time I probably watched this movie was when i saw it in the theater in 1998. Now looking back on the two weeks it took me to review this movie, realize there were some guesses I made while watching that were clearly wrong, for example thinking that Nick, the girls father had to go to London because he hadn't divorced Elizabeth and needed to do that before he married Meredith. I think I was confusing that with the movie Twister and also Sweet Home Alabama because the main characters in those movies were planning to get remarried and needed to divorce their exes first. So, settle in, grab a snack and a drink, cause this review’s over 4 hours long! Enjoy! P.S.: I do plan to cover the 1961 original version of The Parent Trap next Summer. And no, I won't be going anywhere near the sequels, sorry.
