BONUS [LEGAL] PA Licensure Compact Adds Third State

NEWS FLASH: Wisconsin becomes the 3rd state to join the PA Licensure Compact. Other approved states include Utah and New Jersey. (December 2023) Press play to learn about the PA Licensure Compact, what it is, who is in support of it, and how many more states need to pass legislation in order to complete the compact. In 2019 the AAPA, the Federation of State Medical Boards, the NCCPA and the Council of State Governments began working on enacting the PA Licensure Compact.  The PA Licensure Compact makes it easier for PAs to practice in multiple states without having to obtain multiple state licenses. This has far-reaching implications when it comes to telemedicine practices and improving PA portability and patient access to care.
