Yeah, it's been denastified Well, yeah, so it was I guess it was hard to find this movie for a while and It wasn't streaming anywhere and just recently it became available to stream on shutter So I figured you know and I I'd seen this movie like maybe two or three years ago And I remember thinking it was absolutely wild back then yeah And not also not truly being prepared for it like knowing like not having read any of the plot or anything like that Just what people had written about it and how crazy it was and whatever and then I watch it I'm like this is very crazy and I wasn't I wasn't prepared for a movie the whole movie that was a metaphor So at the time I liked it, but I didn't I wasn't in love with it. Yeah, this time around the whole time I was just like I don't know I was I loved this fucking movie five five star five out of five ten Out of ten whatever you want to say I fucking love this We give it tentacles out of tentacles. That's right.

I'm with you I So all I really know about you mentioned it yeah, and then I was like all right Well, let me prepare to watch this film in the way I watch any film that might catch me by surprise and spoil it for myself Do you always do that with like a scary movie I tend to like I especially like if if I'm sort of like Spooked by say a trailer or just like the reputation. I will be like I will I will go for it Okay, cuz it'll still scare the shit out of me, but I just need a little you a little preparation I need a little competitive advantage right okay, but so with this I started reading the Wikipedia page and when I got to the private detective turning up at The first apartment the first time I detected yes I was like all right, you know what I don't want to know wait Did you I mean when you were reading the Wikipedia like when the investigator discovers a bizarre tentacle creature in the bathroom and it kills Him did you read that part? Yes, and then I was like okay all right Because if we're on like paragraph two of the summary here.
Yeah, I we're already at we're a tentacle monsters. Yes Yeah, so I um I backed out right then I was like I don't want to know and I'm glad I did because yeah It's not it's there aren't jump scares. There's not even one jump scare No, I don't know if this is like it is a video nasty I would consider this a horror movie, but I don't know how actually like like terrifying how scary it is like if you left the theater after seeing This I don't know how scared you would act you know be walking into the night, you know No, I think it just kind of like drains you emotionally. I think that's the effect.
Yeah, we can be nasty Yeah, it is like I mean some scenes are graphic. Uh definitely I think oh sure there's that one there's that one there's that one There's a Yeah, I mean like I think even like yeah, I mean it does get it does get a little gory at the end But not not unreasonably I would say right like the jump scare thing I think is like a big factor because I think most horror movies go for at least one jump scare Mm-hmm just a just a goose the audience, you know just a chair to get him to jump and this kind of takes the opposite approach Where it will just play out the same? Horrendous moment for like way longer than you Yeah, so maybe you know I think there are a couple you know moments in this just based on looking into it afterward That seemed to have a reputation short side movie right one of which is a scene where Isabelle a Johnny's character Anna has a she she like becomes possessed. Yes.
She has a full possession Breakdown. Yeah in the subway in the subway tunnel. Yeah, and it's it's like it feels like One shot. I don't think it is one shot, but it's not but it feels like I remember like I Watching it this time.
I definitely was like oh here comes that like that one or that one right? Yeah, there's at least four cuts in it. Mm-hmm But I mean that even so what puts each shot at a minute and a half right? Because of course so prolonged and like so much of it is her just kind of like Wrenching and like throwing her body and screaming and then when you're just like you're like oh my god Like this is still happening then she starts vomiting white stuff and like bleeding from her ears or whatever Well bleeding and oozing from every or every just like blood
