Part of the fun of living in this literary era is seeing how modern authors take old concepts, sometimes even cliches, and make them new again. Seattle author and educator Molly Olguín is one of those authors. Her debut short-story collection “The Sea Gives Up the Dead” takes some classic elements of folklore and fairytales – even some biblical references – and gives them new life.
