BONUS: When Longing Becomes Your Lover with Amanda McCracken

Today we are sharing a special bonus conversation with Amanda McCracken, author of “When Longing Becomes Your Lover” and limerence expert. Amanda shares about her experience as a 40 year old virgin who had become addicted to longing for love rather than actually pursuing healthy relationships, and how she connects the harmful teachings of purity culture to her struggles. Make sure you stick around for our bonus Second Service episode with Amanda on Substack where she shares what she wishes she would have learned as a teenager in youth group instead of purity culture teachings. Join our Second Service Community for just $12 a month to receive weekly bonus episodes and essays, extra live discussions, as well as be part of our quarterly book club.
