Book Club SHUT YOUR MOUTH Introduction and Idaho The Dog

The first in a series of book readings, Calamity Jayne begins reading the book, SHUT YOUR MOUTH: Advice I Ignored, Lessons She Taught by Renee Louisa Rockow and Jayne Van Brunt. Working together, Calamity Jayne and Roxy completed the book in less than a year and published in May of 2020.  The story follows Roxy from her youngest memories of family and the many places they lived, describing the often tumultuous mother-daughter relationship she experienced.  It's a story about acceptance, forgiveness, and the letting go that leads to the desire to heal and to reflect upon life lessons learned from a mother who was in fact, the perfect teacher for what the daughter needed to learn.This episode begins the story, covering the Introduction and the beginning of Part One, with Idaho the Dog.
