Book of Alma Chapter Six. Book of Mormon 1830 First Edition

Alma returned to the land of Zarahemla to rest from his preachings of the 9th year of the reign of the judges and in the 10th year he went out again to preach and went to the land called Melek and he baptised many. Then he travelled 3 days journey north of the land of Melek to the city Ammonihah. The people of Ammonihah did not receive him and said they were not believers or members of his church and they spat on him and cast him out, saying that he had no power of law over them either as he had given up the judgement seat. Alma mourned and went on his way to the city of Aaron but before reaching Aaron an Angel appeared to Alma and told him to go back and preach to the people of Ammonihah and preach for them to repent or they will be destroyed, as they were preparing to destroy the liberty of the people of Nephi. Alma returned again via a different enterance to the city and was hungry and asked a man if he had any food he could eat. The man was a Nephite called Amulek and said he had had a vision from God that a Holy prophet would visit him and that Alma was that man. Amulek fed Alma and gave him a roof overhead for a time and then Alma went to preach and Amulek was also given instruction to go preach to the people. They were filled with the Holy Ghost and had power given so no man could slay them.
