Moroni continued to strengthen all around the land of the Nephites. More cities were built too. There was a contention between two of the cities, the city of Morianton with its leader wanted to encrouch upon the city next to it, the city called Lehi. The people of the city of Lehi went to Moroni and told him and they were protected. Morianton eventually was killed by Teancum. This chapter is one of the first to mention a maidservant being beaten up.. Morianton had beaten up his maidservant and she fled to Moroni to tell him and also the plans Morianton had of fleeing into the land northward, in which his plans were thwarted. The 2nd chief judge died, who would have kept the records after Alma but he had turned them down so the records had been handed down to Helaman.
