Jacob addresses the people and speaks against them in their pride of thinking they are better than others around them due to their clothing and riches. He also speaks against them in breaking the hearts of their wives and children in committing sin in taking more wives than one. Jacob says that he was commanded of God to speak about these things to the people and that He delighted in chastity of women. Jacob said the Lamanites were less wicked than the Nephites because they did not commit this sin, that the men had one wife.
