We’ll follow Nephi as he works diligently to reclaim Nephite hearts for the Lord. We’ll hear him pray for his people from his garden tower and watch as those same people accuse him of conspiracy. Nephi will be weighed down with sorrow at times and lifted up by the Lord at others. His tenacity through it all will inspire you to study the words of our prophet and seek the wisdom God is eager to give you.1. Helaman 7:11Nephi has a desperate prayer to offer for the people. He doesn’t go to a private place. He prays on a garden tower near the highway. Question: Do you think this was deliberately demonstrative? What did he think would happen? Helaman 11:23After a period of peace, contentions well up. Nephi and Lehi and otehrs are able to neutralize those contentions by teaching truth “having many revelations daily”Question: When have you felt this surge in your life? Do you see this playing out in the lives of prophets and apostles today? We tend to focus on conference. How does daily revelation trickle down into the church now?3. Helaman 12:5Mormon is warning about how prosperity tends to harden our hearts and make us forget God’s goodness. He said “they do harden their hearts, and do forget the Lord their God, and do trample under their feet the Holy One—yea, and this because of their ease, and their exceedingly great prosperity.”Question: What does it mean to trample the Holy One under our feet?
