Book of Mosiah Chapter Eleven. Book of Mormon 1830 First Edition.

from Green Eyes Yolanda · host Yolanda Tranquille Geer

Alma and his people escape from bondage from the lamanites. The Lamanites had discovered their city and their land and caused them to be in bondage to them. God made the burdens of Alma's people light, they were long suffering and led out to safety after God caused a heavy sleep upon those guarding over them. One of the priests of King Noah had found favour with the king of the Lamanites and had been made king over the people of Alma and persecuted the people of Alma, saying they would be put to death if they were caught praying aloud to God, so God blessed them. The people of Alma found their way back to the land of Zarahemla where they were welcomed by King Mosiah. Mosiah caused to be read the records of Zeniff and Alma spoke too and many people desired to be baptised by Alma and seven churches were set up for them to attend, extensions of one church. Those who were children during the time of King Benjamin's address didnt believe in God and began to cause troubles with the believers, among these were Alma's son Alma and four of the sons of King Mosiah. An angel appeared to the son of Alma and to the sons of Mosiah and told them to repent. Alma the son of Alma loat his strength and couldnt speak for two days. Alma his father prayed for him and a fast was made and then Alma received his strength and he became born again, and he and the sons of Mosiah went about everywhere mending the harm they had done to the church and sharing their testimony. When church members did go astray, they were judged and if they confessed and repented they were forgiven and if not, their names were blotted out.
