from Green Eyes Yolanda · host Yolanda Tranquille Geer
Omni, son of Jarom shares he has battled with the Lamanites, confesses that he is a wicked man not keeping statutes of God, but has obeyed keeping the plates. He says 282 had passed since leaving Jerusalem. He passed the plates to his son Amaron. Amaron shares that wars have seen the wicked part of the Nephites killed. He writes that it is 320 since Jerusalem. He passes the plates to his brother Chemish who says his brother Amaron wrote his words in front of him and delivered the plates to him. The next person to write is Abinadom who says he is son of Chemish. Abinadom says he knows of no revelation or prophesy except that which is written, that he has seen much warfare and killed many Lamanites with his own sword. The next person to write is Amaleki who says he is son of Abinadom. Amaleki speaks of a king of the land of Zarahemla called Mosiah. Mosiah had been warned to leave the land of Nephi and go into the wilderness. Mosiah was led by prophesy and arrived at the land of Zarahemla. They discovered a people called the people of Zarahemla who had fled Jerusalem at the time Zedekiah, king of Judah, was carried captive to Babylon. The people of Zarahemla had crossed the waters from Jerusalem and set up in the land they called Zarahemla where they had lived since leaving Jerusalem but had no records and their language had become corrupted and they had had wars also. Mosiah found this out after teaching the people his language so they could communicate with him. They did not believe in a Creator. The people of Zarahemla and the people of Mosiah united and Mosiah was made the king of Zarahemla. During the reign of Mosiah in Zarahemla, a large stone with engravings was brought to him and he interpreted it by the power of God. The engravings spake of a man called Coriantumr and the slain of his people. Coriantumr was discovered by the people of Zarahemla and he stayed with them 9 moons. The engravings said his first parents came out from the Tower, at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people. The engravings said their bones lay scattered in the land northward. Amaleki says he was born in the days of Mosiah and that Mosiah died during his lifetime and that Mosiah's son Benjamin reigned as king in his stead. Amaleki says during the lifetime of king Benjamin there were serious wars and bloodshed between the Nephites and Lamanites. Amaleki says he had no seed to pass the plates on to and as King Benjamin was a just man, he handed the plates to king Benjamin to keep. Before he handed over the plates he shared that a large group of people left Zarahemla in search of the land of Nephi, but contention created bloodshed amongst them and they survivors, 50 of them, returned to Zarahemla. Amaleki says another large group went again into the wilderness to find the land of Nephi, which included a brother of Amaleki but they did not return and nothing was heard of this large group of people.
