It is set against the backdrop of the patriarchal regime imposed by the Catholic Church in Ireland and spans the period from 1952 to 1981. Over the course of a harsh Irish winter, the women battle misogyny and secrecy in a bid to uncover the truth about Kate’s life. But will they ever make peace with what they are about to learn?About the author: Antoinette studied English Literature and Modern History at NUI Maynooth, followed by a career in PR. Her debut novel, Home to Cavendish, was published in 2019. She quit the 9 to 5 grid in 2019 and established a business and ghost-writing consultancy. She recently accelerated her part in The Great Resignation by relocating to the Costa Blanca. The Secrets Left Behind, was published by Spellbound Books in March 2022.
