In the September 2, 2014 episode of Boomer Generation Radio, Rabbi Address welcomes Cliff Fostoff, a Florida-based franchise consultant, to talk about baby boomers changing careers. [powerpress] Cliff Fostoff, founder of Franchise International. Cliff Fostoff has over 10 years experience in the Franchise World after a long Career as Senior Executive with one of the Countries leading retailers. He has been a V.P. of Franchising for one of the world’s largest Franchise companies and a Franchise Consultant with National Consulting organizations where he has developed relationships with some of the leading Franchisors in the Country. His business success, insight, and experience has guided many individuals to Business Ownership. In the second half of the program, Richard Address interviews Dr. Dennis McCullough, author of My Mother, Your Mother: Embracing "Slow Medicine," the Compassionate Approach to Caring for Your Aging Loved Ones. Slow Medicine advocates for careful anticipatory “attending” to an elder’s changing needs rather than waiting for crises that force acute medical interventions—thereby improving the quality of elders’ extended late lives without bankrupting their families financially or emotionally.  Dennis has been an “in-the-trenches” family physician and geriatrician for 30 years. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, and serves as a faculty member in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. He is a member of the American Geriatrics Society, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the American Medical Directors Association, as well as the coauthor of The Little Black Book of Geriatrics. He lives with his wife, the poet Pamela Harrison, in Norwich, VT. Dr. McCullough appeared at the 2008 American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging conference held in Philadelphia.
