Boston Food Forest Coalition is a non profit organization that works to transform vacant lots across Boston into community orchards and edible parks. Nellie is a steward at the Eggleston Community Orchard in Jamaica Plain, and Alex is both a steward of the same orchard and the associate director of the organization. BFFC has a community land trust that they use to preserve their food forests to ensure they remain public in perpetuity. The organization works in partnership with community residents to create equitable green space for all, while taking into consideration regenerative practices. Tune in to learn all about it.
