On this special episode of Both Sides, we welcome award winning authors Robert Putnam and Shaylyn Romney Garrett!  In their new book The Upswing, the authors state that history holds the answers to how we move out of these tumultuous times. They argue that America's Gilded Age shows remarkable similarity to our own, including a  gap between rich and poor, and a societal focus on "I" rather than "we."

Listen in as our guest hosts Claire Bishop and Shaun Stsllworth talk to Putnam and Romney-Garrett about community, race, polarization, and how WE can come together - again.
