Bottom Line Episode 4 - City Translation
from Daily News-Record
Harrisonburg residents who are not proficient with English face a number of challenges in obtaining services. The city has multiple translation and education programs, but solutions are not as simple as the words we speak, said Sal Romero, city councilman and school administrator. Romero, along with Jeremy Aldrich of the city schools and Amy Snider of the city government, sat down for a podcast recording session of the Bottom Line to discuss how current programs will help alleviate challenges non-proficient English speakers face in the Friendly City.
